What is the Foster Youth Program?
The Foster Youth program promotes community and independent living to give our residents the life skills to successfully transition. It is a 12-24 month faith-based transitional housing program.
Who should apply for the Foster Youth program?
Emancipated youth, youth who were previously wards of the state or youth that spent a significant amount of time in the juvenile justice system, between the ages
of 18-25.
How do I apply for the Foster Youth program?
The application process takes roughly an hour to complete. Be sure you have Photo ID and Ward of the state/ proof of dependency ready prior to applying.

How long will it take to hear back after applying for a Transitional Housing program?
When you submit your application, the response time depends on when you apply:
Applications submitted before 5:00pm PST:
You’ll receive a call from us on the same day.Applications submitted after 5:00pm PST or on weekends:
You’ll hear back within 48 hours.
How long will it take to get in once I've conducted the Transitional Housing interview?
An average of 1-2 weeks for Dream Center Discipleship, Veterans, and Foster Youth.
We have a waitlist on average of 3-6 months for Family housing.
Are the Transitional Housing programs free?
All Dream Center Transitional Housing programs including Discipleship, Foster Youth, Family Floor, and Veterans programs are free for the participant(s).
What are the restrictions for Foster Youth program attendees?
Pets or emotional support animals are prohibited.
Only service animals with proof of papers are allowed.Cigarettes and vaping are prohibited.
We are a smoke-free facility.
Will I share a room in the Foster Youth program?
Our facility is residential community living. Depending on availability you will likely be sharing a room.
Do I have my own kitchen as a resident in the Foster Youth program?
Yes, the Foster Youth program has access to a kitchen. Transitional Housing also offers a cafeteria on campus that serves 3 meals per day. This is referred to as the Carey Kitchen or the DC Diner.
Can I bring my boyfriend/girlfriend/partner/fiance to the program with me?
No, only legally married couples that are admitted to the Family Housing program are permitted.
