What is the Discipleship (recovery-type) program?

The Discipleship program is a 12-14-month faith-based residential recovery-type

program.

Discipleship is one of the programs in the Dream Center’s Transitional Housing program.

Who should apply for the Discipleship Recovery-Type program?

Men and women ages 18-63 struggling with substance abuse or life controlling issues.

How do I apply for the Discipleship Recovery-Type program?

The application process takes roughly an hour to complete. Be sure you have X, Y, and Z ready prior to applying.

You will need to send photos of X, Y, and Z before completing the application.

How long will it take to hear back after applying for a Transitional Housing program?

When you submit your application, the response time depends on when you apply:

  • Applications submitted before 5:00pm PST:
    You’ll receive a call from us on the same day.

  • Applications submitted after 5:00pm PST or on weekends:
    You’ll hear back within 48 hours.

How long will it take to get in once I've conducted the Discipleship interview?

An average of 1-2 weeks for Dream Center Discipleship recovery-type program.

Are the Transitional Housing programs free?

All Dream Center Transitional Housing programs including Discipleship, Foster Youth, Family Housing, and Veterans programs are free for the participant(s).

What are the restrictions for Discipleship (recovery-type) program attendees?

  • Pets or emotional support animals are prohibited.
    Only service animals with proof of papers are allowed.

  • Cell phone usage is prohibited for the full year in Discipleship.
    All phone calls will be on a landline.

  • Cigarettes and vaping are prohibited.
    We are a smoke-free facility.

  • Employment and schooling are not accessible during the duration of the Discipleship program, while they are accessible for Foster Youth, Family Housing and Veterans.

Do I have my own kitchen as a resident in the Discipleship program?

No, we have a cafeteria on campus that serves 3 meals per day. This is referred to as the Carey Kitchen or the DC Diner.

Can I bring my boyfriend/girlfriend/partner/fiance to the program with me?

No, only legally married couples that are admitted to the Family Housing program are permitted.
